Woman accuses WB Governor of molestation ahead of PM's visit
Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has refuted claims of holding discussions with the team management regarding selection decisions ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. The right-handed batsman clarified that both Ajit Agarkar and Rahul Dravid are currently occupied with personal commitments, dismissing rumors as false.
Recent reports have suggested that the BCCI has finalized Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli as the opening pair for the upcoming tournament. There were also discussions regarding the inclusion of Hardik Pandya, contingent upon his ability to bowl consistently. Speaking on the Club Prairie Fire podcast, the experienced opener emphasized the need for official statements from either the BCCI or team members to validate such claims.
"I haven't had any meetings. Ajit Agarkar is busy playing golf in Mumbai, and Rahul bhai is attending his child's sporting event in Bengaluru. He recently visited Mumbai briefly, where we arranged for him to practice on a red-soil pitch at CCI. That's the extent of our interaction. To be frank, we haven't convened. In today's digital age, unless you hear confirmation from me, Agarkar, Rahul, or any BCCI official directly addressing the matter, it's all hearsay."
